Kit and Sheryl have been farming alpacas full time for 23 years. Having come from a farming background, we have paid particular attention to alpaca genetics and have scoured the USA, Australia and New Zealand in search of elite animals. We have focussed on quality not price in all our purchasing decisions and this has taken us to the top of the New Zealand alpaca industry.

Silverstream animals have won Supreme Champion titles at all the major shows in New Zealand including three National Supreme titles and Supreme Champion Animal of Show at the 2007 New Zealand Royal Show in Christchurch.

Kit & Sheryl have been very supportive of the New Zealand alpaca industry over the years. Kit has been President, Vice President, Secretary & Southern Region representative on National Council, the governing body of the Alpaca Association NZ over a period of 14 years. In recognition of his services to the alpaca industry, he was awarded a Life Membership in 2016.
